Principal's Message
Greetings Lions,
As we begin the 2nd semester and a new year we are thankful for the students, families, and staff of Alta Loma High School. This semester will start our new cell phone policy, prepare for important state assessments, and gear up for our May 2026 Graduation.
With a new semester, we have an opportunity for a fresh start academically. NOW is the time for all students to increase their time and efforts towards their studies. We believe in the future potential of all of our students and want it all to be on display academically this semester.
To help students with their academic success, we recommend the following:
· Students Tutoring Center after school Monday - Thursday from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm
· Parents use Canvas to contact your student’s teachers if you have concerns.
· Parents Discuss with teacher’s specific steps your student can take to improve.
· Students take advantage of additional help teachers offer before and/or after school.
I wish all of our student athletes, student leaders, and performers the best of luck with the current season of games, events, and performances.
As a reminder, school is not in session on the following dates:
January 19th - MLK JR. Day
February 09th - Lincoln’s Day
February 16th - Presidents Day
March 30th - April 3rd - Spring Break
Wishing you a great 2nd semester, we are excited to Run Towards the Roar!
J.R. Rucker
