Principal's Message

Jason Kaylor
Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. As we settle into this new school year, I challenge every student to strive for their personal best in all areas of studies. With students back on campus we will take the necessary precautions to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

As we prepare all students for college and careers, the following skills are the foundation we empower our students with: Technology, Career Exploration, Employability, Learning, and Life. Our faculty is committed to helping students advance their knowledge and ability to effectively communicate the skills they have learned throughout their four years at ALHS.

Students should take advantage of the many resources and tutoring opportunities provided by staff. Our Library is open every day before and after school. PAPER, an online/text tutoring service is also available for all students. Please check out our website for more information regarding these services.
Braves, no matter the day or week, attendance is critical to your success. Make sure that you are following the bell schedule, attending class on time, participating in class discussions, and turning in your assignments on time. We encourage families to make off campus appointments after school in order for students to be in class.
Parents and guardians, your role in your student’s development is a huge part of their success. Your involvement helps to build a healthy partnership with the school. If you would like to do even more, please reach out to Dr. Adam Stites, AP of Achievement, for parent engagement opportunities throughout the year. As a reminder, all parents/guardians and campus visitors must provide state identification in order to be on campus during school hours.

Now is the time for students to get involved on campus with our student life. Our club rush is August 30, 2023, and soon many of our sports teams will be hosting tryouts. Students should listen to the announcements and pay close attention to the Brave Bulletin broadcast and announcements shared through text and emails.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to our office staff. We look forward to serving you.

Brave Regards,
Principal Kaylor
