Principal's Message

Jason Kaylor
Braves,

Congratulations to the entire ALHS community for being recognized as a California Distinguished School once again. This prestigious honor was granted to us for our strong student achievement and school culture.

As we enter the fourth and final quarter of the school year, I encourage every Brave to FINISH STRONG!

Our teachers have worked diligently to prepare all students for the upcoming CAASPP, CAST and AP exams. The CAASPP is an essential test for ALL juniors, while the CAST is for all seniors. The CAASPP is used by the state to measure success in the areas of Math and English, the CAST measures success in science, and both tests measure the overall success of our school. I encourage our juniors and seniors to attend every day of testing and do their best to prove college readiness. The CAST/CAASPP and AP testing schedule will be posted to our website once confirmed.

I want to remind all students and families that our library is open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30pm-6:30pm for tutoring and studying. Please take advantage of our onsite tutoring and use the Academy period to meet with teachers to get extra help and support.

Our sports spring season is underway! ALHS Baseball, Softball, Boys Volleyball, Golf, Boys and Girls Swim, Boys Tennis, and Track & Field teams are ready for solid competition. In addition, our Varsity Dance team is preparing for Nationals where they will compete with schools across the county. I am proud of our amazingly talented athletic, activities and arts programs!

Braves, I encourage you to continue to push hard and do your personal best as you finish this academic school year.
