Principal's Message
Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! As we embark on this new journey together, I challenge each student to strive for their personal best in all areas of study. With students back on campus, we are committed to taking every precaution to maintain a safe and healthy environment for both students and staff.
Our mission at ALHS is to prepare every student for success in college and careers. We empower our students with a foundation of essential skills, including Technology, Career Exploration, Employability, Learning, and Life Skills. Our dedicated faculty is here to support your growth, ensuring you can confidently communicate the skills you develop throughout your four years at ALHS.
I encourage all students to take full advantage of the numerous resources and tutoring opportunities we offer. The library is open daily, both before and after school along with tutoring. For more details on these services, please visit our website.
Braves, remember that consistent attendance is key to your success. Ensure you are following the bell schedule, arriving to class on time, actively participating in discussions, and submitting your assignments promptly. Families, we kindly ask that off-campus appointments be scheduled outside of school hours to maximize class attendance.
Parents and guardians, your role in your student’s development is crucial to their success. Your involvement helps foster a strong partnership between home and school. For those interested in becoming more engaged, please reach out to Dr. Adam Stites, AP of Achievement, who coordinates parent engagement opportunities throughout the year. Dr. Stites also sends out a weekly newsletter filled with opportunities for parents to get involved in the ALHS community. As a reminder, all parents/guardians and campus visitors must present state identification when visiting the campus during school hours.
Now is the perfect time for students to dive into campus life. Our Club Rush is scheduled for the second week of September, and many of our sports teams will soon be hosting tryouts. Stay tuned to announcements and keep an eye on the Brave Bulletin, both in broadcast and through text and email updates.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact our office staff. We are here to support you and look forward to a fantastic year ahead.
Brave Regards,
Principal Kaylor
