ABOUT ALTA LOMA HIGH SCHOOL
THE SCHOOL
Alta Loma High School is a comprehensive high school that services grades 9-12. We have a student population of 2475 students. The faculty size is 115. There are an additional 85 employees who are an integral support system for instruction and school operations. Alta Loma High School is proud to boast a large percentage of "Brave" alumni on staff, which spans three decades of Alta Loma success.
ACCREDITATION
Alta Loma High School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and is fully approved by the California Department of Education. In 2019, Alta Loma High School completed its three-year WASC revisit process and was granted a six-year accreditation. ALHS was also named one of the best high schools in America by US News & World Report.
COMMUNITY
The Alta Loma community is predominantly suburban with a relatively modest business community. Parents and the community at large demand excellence in their school system, and actively engage the school in the ongoing quest for excellence through parent forums, booster clubs, site council, and PTSA. Alta Loma was the first high school in the city and it is rich in tradition and culture. The high school has enjoyed both athletic and academic success. The community supports programs that ensure our continued success.

The mission of Alta Loma High School is to provide a standards-based education enabling students to recognize and develop their individual potential and skills, to earn a high school diploma, and to empower them to become productive citizens.

Alta Loma High School will continue to improve classroom instruction, provide support and interventions for all students, prepare students for the demands of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, and increase college and career readiness.
